Scaled Comp Leadership

Bringing legal issues into the 21st century through Artificial Intelligence

Anthony Zaller

Co-Founder, Employment Defense Attorney

As a seasoned employment defense attorney, Anthony Zaller has spent more than 20 years advising California employers on wage-and-hour compliance, PAGA exposure, and litigation strategy. Through decades of defending companies in complex cases, he saw the same recurring problem: despite the widespread adoption of electronic timekeeping and payroll systems, assessing compliance still required extensive manual review. Employers and litigation teams routinely spent weeks analyzing timecards and payroll records to establish compliance, and businesses lacked clear, consistent tools to identify and prevent issues before they turned into lawsuits.

Anthony co-founded Scaled Comp to solve this problem at scale. He leads the platform’s strategic direction, focusing on how advanced data processing and AI can streamline payroll audits, improve compliance monitoring, and dramatically reduce employer liability. His mission is to give California employers the clarity, efficiency, and defensibility they need in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
